Note that Affinity Photo works with Topaz plugins work with Affinity Photo when bought directly from the Serif website but not all Topaz filters work with the sandboxed version of Affinity Photo bought from the Mac App Store. You could even get all of these programs for $25 + FREE + FREE + FREE + $40 = $65 and be able to use all of them for about the same amount of money that it would cost to buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 (not full Photoshop) by itself. It is (as far as I know) Mac-only, unlike the others, which have multiple downloads for multiple platforms. GraphicConverter is another utility that is good to have around. I believe all of them have Linux, Windows, and Mac versions, and are Free (as in Beer) (although developers might welcome voluntary contributions of code or $$$). Lately they have been running a lot of half-off sales, and $25 to get that level of program is a real steal. A good buy at the normal one-time purchase price of $50 for the Mac version, $50 for the Windows version, and $20 for the iPad version.
